The primary objectives of the PhD program are to provide the candidate with:
- Disciplinary and interdisciplinary training
- Language proficiency in English and other foreign languages as may be defined by the Academic Board
- IT and statistical skills development
- Training in research management, including knowledge of European and international research systems, as well as the valorization of research results and intellectual property
The PhD program also aims to train researchers capable of pursuing a scientific career in:
- Italian and foreign universities
- Higher education institutes
- National and international research institutions (e.g., CNR), with a particular focus on the European context
